Writing for a quote card
Quote cards read best with one or two sentences. If the words are someone else's, add the author on a new line, and check the wording against a reliable source before you share it, because misattributed quotes spread quickly.
Choosing colours
Each preset pairs two colours that sit close together, so the gradient stays calm behind the text. If you choose your own, keep both ends light with dark text, or both dark with light text. The tool checks the contrast of the text against both ends of the gradient.
Font
The quote is set in EB Garamond Italic, a revival of Claude Garamont's sixteenth-century types by Georg Duffner and Octavio Pardo, released under the SIL Open Font License and served from this site.
Your text stays on your device
