What the code contains
How it works
The code holds a mailto link, such as mailto:orders@example.com?subject=Order. When it is scanned, the phone opens its mail app with the fields filled in, and the person only has to press send. Nothing is sent until they do.
Good uses
Email codes work well on feedback cards, support notices, waiting-list sign-ups and returns labels, where a pre-filled subject line helps you sort what arrives. Keep the message short and leave room for the sender to add their own words.
Check the details
Test the code on a phone and look at the address and the subject before printing. Spaces and punctuation in the subject and message are encoded automatically, so they arrive exactly as you typed them.
Nothing leaves your device
The code is drawn in your browser. What you type is never sent to SymbolMint or stored, analytics record only which kind of code was downloaded, and we cannot see the codes you make or how often they are scanned.
