What the code contains
What goes in the code
The code holds a vCard 3.0 contact card, the format that address books on iPhone and Android, Outlook and Gmail import. Only the fields you fill in are included. Commas, semicolons and line breaks in your details are escaped so they come through intact.
Keep it scannable
Each field you add makes the pattern denser. Name, phone, email and website fit comfortably; a long note makes the code harder to scan when it is printed small. On a business card, print the code at least 2 cm across.
Your details stay private
The contact card is put together in your browser and is never sent to SymbolMint or stored. A printed code shares the details with anyone who scans it, so leave out anything you would not put on a business card.
