Shooting stars
彡 is a Chinese character for streaks or decorative strokes. Placed after a star it reads as a motion trail, which makes ★彡 the classic shooting star; turn it round as 彡☆ to send the star the other way.
Sizes and weights
★ and ☆ are the full-size solid and outlined stars, and ⭑ and ⭒ are their small versions. ✶, ✷ and ✸ add points and heavier strokes for a starburst, while ✰ carries a drop shadow.
Stars with a moon
The night-sky combos pair stars with ☾, the crescent moon. They work as a header line in a bio or around a name; where space is tight, a single ☆ or ★ does the same job.
