Valorant name letters and symbols
A Valorant name is your Riot ID, and it takes letters and numbers, not decorative symbols. Every character in the groups below is a letter in Unicode's own classification, chosen because it looks like a symbol. Tap to copy, then paste it into your Riot ID.

What a Riot ID accepts
A Riot ID has two parts: the game name, and the tagline after the #. Riot's support pages set the game name at 3 to 16 alphanumeric characters and the tagline at 3 to 5, and Riot's developer documentation adds that any Unicode letter is supported in both, while the # itself is not allowed. Stars, hearts and swords such as ★, ♥ and ⚔ are neither letters nor numbers, so they fall outside those rules.
Letters that pass for symbols
ツ, シ and メ are Japanese katakana, 乂 and 彡 are Chinese characters, ღ is Georgian, ʚ and ɞ come from the phonetic alphabet, ꕤ is from the Vai script of Liberia and Ω, Δ and Σ are Greek capitals. Each counts as a letter, and a test on this site checks every character in these groups, and in the three font styles further down, against Unicode's data. Riot can still refuse any name it considers offensive or inappropriate.
Changing your Riot ID
Riot lets you change your Riot ID for free, once every 90 days. Your tagline starts as a region code such as NA1 or EUW; once you change it, you cannot go back to a region code. Check the spelling before you confirm a change.
